A Silent Night – Christmas Game for iPhone & iPad

December 14, 2010 2 comments

Christmas is almost here and I cannot wait for it! Since we are already in the holiday mood, I think a Christmas Game for our iPhone or iPad would bright up our day.

While I start looking for a Christmas Game that would be very fun and easy to play for kids, I found A Silent Night.

Here is the video for this wonderful endurance game for Christmas:

The story behind this game is cute and simple:

Christmas Eve is almost here and Santa is ready to deliver gifts.

You have to help Santa to fill his sleigh with presents by collecting children’s dreams and avoid nightmares. Once the dreams are collected, you have to fly over the villages and share the presents only to children who have gone to bed. All you have to remember is to avoid delivering gifts to children who are still awake (have their lights on).
Fly from village to village and see how long you can last.

I also read some of  its features:
– Works on both iPhone (3G, 3GS and iPhone4) and iPad – which is great, as you don’t have to buy it for iPad
– Retina Display ready – for those who are keen on gadgets and already got their iPhone 4
– Game Center Leaderboards and Achievments – works very nicely on iPhone 4

Share and Enjoy!

My vision on Web 3.0 – Artificial Intelligence

June 1, 2010 3 comments

Lately I have been reading lots of articles on web 3.0 concepts and visions of various online marketers.

The words “Semantic Web” and “Sentiment” are on everyone’s lips when it comes to envisioning web 3.0 new technology. One of the most fascinating articles on the web 3.0 features is on howstuffworks.com;  this article got me thinking to one particular thing: Expert Systems.

Expert systems are artificial intelligence applications which operate with knowledge base in order to provide solutions to a particular problem by clarifying uncertainties for users and giving multiple answers to the best course of action in a given field.

Expert systems operate with user queries, much like search engines – the difference is in the type of base : data vs. knowledge. The expert systems, as I defined them above, are a little part of the future web 3.0 as I envision it; this “semantic web” will probably operate with a knowledge base in order to provide answers to user queries.

The “sentiment” component is also a big part of the future web 3.0 because the knowledge base has to be filtered somehow. The way I see things, the sentiment is in fact the number of positive reviews of a product or service versus the number of negative reviews of that product or service.

Social Media Changes : new face lift for LinkedIn network

June 1, 2010 1 comment

Social Media got to Linkedin – just a month ago, Linkedin was just a big business network which was very difficult to develop – I had to use recommandations  or e-mail adresses in order to increase my network.
Visiting my account today was fascinating – no social network got so big over night in therms of new apps & features.

What I found new on LinkedIn:

  • a wall just like in Facebook,
  • my tweets integrated into my account,
  • the possibility to follow companies, people & discussions
  • statistics on my network,
  • a categorized search engine,
  • a reading list powered by Amazon,
  • a list of news from my selected industries
  • new apps to integrate in my account
  • job opportunities
  • updates & tweets of my network members
  • group directories
  • the chance to post some previews from my blog posts
  • the chance to create a group or to join one

and lots of new and interesting features…check out my LinkedIn profile>>
